We are going to work on some letters and cards for men and women in the service for our day of service on MLK day. Lyn Koslo found a great site called Operation Gratitude with lots of ideas and there is an address where we can send the letters. Check out the site because there are other possibilities such as making scarves and a couple of other craft projects.

Although I had originally planned this as an activity for the kids and youth, I encourage others who are not working on MLK day to come and join us. On Monday, Jan 19th, let’s meet at church around 2:00 and spend a couple of hours working on letters of encouragement to send to our troops.
